Clevedon karter Connor Hall finished second in his first outing with his new team Strawberry Racing.

CLEVEDON karting star Connor Hall enjoyed a successful weekend at the Trent Valley circuit near Grantham.

Connor endured sub-zero temperatures and snow during Friday and Saturday practice during his first time out with his new team Strawberry Racing.

Competing in the new senior class, he was the youngest on the grid. Despite all of this, he qualified second for the first final of the day in tricky conditions.

At the start of the pre-final, Connor was forced off the track and ended in 30th and last place. He worked his way back on to the track and somehow managed to fight his way back to 10th place at the chequered flag and where he would start the main final.

On the first lap of the final, he was forced back to 12th, but soon found his rhythm and picked off drivers one at a time.

By the end of the race, he had closed down a six-second gap and at the flag went over the line in second place and glued to the rear bumper of the eventual winner.

Connor will be out again testing soon in the build-up to the start of the British Championships.
