Yatton racing driver James Keepin is the leader of his class in the Castle Combe Saloon Car Championship.

James Keepin, from Yatton, is currently top of his category, racing his MG ZR 160, in the Castle Combe Saloon Car Championship.

After four high-speed rounds (eight in total), 28-year-old James has already achieved two class wins and two second places and is currently leading Class C by 13 points.

He said: “I am looking for reliability for the rest of the season which means we could be in for an overall Class C win by the end of the season.

“An overall championship win will be difficult to achieve as we are up against people with more powerful cars and bigger budgets.

“The highlight of the season so far was to be selected to carry the Motors TV onboard camera for the televised round which was transmitted throughout the world, when I came second in class.”

If you would like to come along and support James or discuss possible sponsorship, the remaining four championship rounds are at Castle Combe on August 8 and 31 (two races) and October 10.
