Improving North Somerset under-10s had mixed fortunes at the Avon mini festival on Sunday.
They lost their first match to Clifton Robinsons by a single goal, scored from a short corner.
But they bounced back to beat Westbury, with Barney Lonsdale finishing off some good passing to open the scoring.
Westbury hit back to level, but Jack Wadey sealed a 2-1 win for North as Toby Wilcox made a diving stick save late on.
A 0-0 draw with Redland, whose goalkeeper was in top form, was followed by a 2-0 loss to a very good Devizes side, who countered well.
*North Somerset women lost 5-0 to a strong Bristol University side in their latest match at the weekend, while the men's A team were pipped 2-1 by their Bristol & West C rivals.
The men's B team drew 1-1 with Westbury E, but then lost 5-1 to Old Bristolians E in a rearranged game on Sunday.
