Clevedon Golf Club’s Paul Middleton has successfully completed his two-year term as president of the Somerset Golf Union.
Representing a total of 31 golf clubs from across the county, the Union helps clubs to develop those members who wish to play at a higher level.
At the same time, it also organises championships for all age groups, inter-club competitions and matches against other county teamss in the South West region.
During his term in office, Middleton was especially pleased to see three members Josh Hilliard (Farrington Park), Tom Sloman (Taunton & Puckeridge) and Tom Plumb selected to represent England in the Home Internationals.
Both the Somerset GU first team and under-18s also represented the South West Counties in the National Finals.
