Nailsea ladies come from behind to defeat Minehead.

Minehead Ladies 1
Nailsea Ladies 2nd XI 2

NAILSEA ladies found themselves a goal adrift after two minutes and despite opportunities from Jess Atkinson, Danni Douel, Maryl Steyn and Jo Faiers it was the home side who dominated.

Nailsea found themselves under pressure and Minehead hit the post twice, Sarah Billington saved off the line and keeper Paige Grimmet made several excellent saves to keep them in the game.

After the break, midfielders Steyn, Faiers and Georgie Corner began to take control. Creative play across the attack produced a flurry of shots on target, but it took a cheeky nudge from Alexandra Sermon to level the scores.

Cath Hole was relentless in her determination, spraying the D with shots and passes. Jess
Atkinson and Alice Keyworth were alert and positioned well. Two such moves saw Keyworth hit the net, but both were disallowed.

However, inside the final five minutes it was third time lucky when Keyworth wrong footed the keeper to put Nailsea ahead for the first time. Player of the match was Paige Grimmet.
