Having beaten table-toppers Nailsea in a seven-goal thriller a few weeks back, it was Kenn Valley who were hosts in their last game of the year.

The first half in dire conditions still proved to be entertaining. Nailsea nearly took the lead from a corner with a great headed effort being cleared off the line by Pat King.

Chances were developed at both ends, but were nothing more than half chances until from a corner Stanley found Andy Vowles who tucked it away from eight yards to put Valley a goal up.

Within minutes it should of been two when Josh Davies found himself two yards out and the ball at his feet, but still managed to put it wide when a simple tap-in was begging.

With the weather worsening, it was Nailsea who took the game to Valley. Constantly working the ball around, but everything hit goalwards found the gloves of Tom Long.

There was always the counter attack with pace from Valley who had chances of their own, but both teams could not add a goal, so KVFC eventually took the three points and temporarily topped the table due to an earlier kick-off.

Man of the match was Zach Michell.
