Gordano started the new Western Counties North season with an impressive 43-25 win at Chosen Hill.

After choosing to play up the slope, they conceded two tries in the opening 10 minutes.

But Gordano showed their team spirit and they saw Scott McGrath and Dan Shortland touch down, witth Dan Hodge adding a conversion.

A penalty by Sam Hodge put the visitors 15-12 up at the break and they had their tails up playing down the slope in the second half.

Jack Thomas rounded his winger to score a try, converted by Hodge, but the hosts hit back with a penalty before Shortland secured the first bonus point of the campaign with his second try.

Sam Hodge added his own converted try after good work by the forwards, before the home side claimed another try of their own.

And a lovely offload by Tom Arnall sent Sam Hodge over for his second try, before Chosen Hill completed the scoring with their bonus point try late on.

After a great start to 2021-22, Gordano host Cleve on Saturday (3pm).
