A TEAM of nine juniors and two coaches from Gordano Valley Archers travelled to Crewkerne to take part in the Somerset Junior Indoor Championships.

A TEAM of nine juniors and two coaches from Gordano Valley Archers travelled to Crewkerne to take part in the Somerset Junior Indoor Championships.

With more than 30 archers from across Somerset shooting in various categories, Gordano Valley Archers took the most individual honours.

Chessie Crook won the girls aged 16-17 recurve, Rushda Booley the 13-15 recurve and Haseenah Booley was second. Ethan Mustin-Twells won the boys aged nine and under Barebow and Callum Day won the boys aged 16-17 Longbow. George Brown came second in the boys aged 10-11 recurve and Thaakirah Booley came third in the girls aged 10-12 recurve.

Chessie Crook scored the highest recurve score of the day for the girls and Callum Day scored the highest longbow score of the day.

The junior section of the Gordano Valley Archers is going from strength to strength each year with more
