Good times were recorded by the birds of Wraxall Village Club members.

WRAXALL Village Club birds were liberated from Littlehampton at 7.15am.

Despite a fresh south west wind and heavy showers at the home end, the birds made good time. The winning bird, a yearling, went to the Portishead loft of Jackie and Nick Stone, completing the 108 mile flight in two hours 30 minutes.

12 members sent 79 birds: J & N Stone 1269 yards per minute (43.3 miles per hour); G Summers 1209; Wyatt & Gray 1198; G & V Watkins 1176; R English 1145; G & V Watkins 1142.
