Good times for marathon runners

Clevedon runners enjoyed good times at the recent London marathon.
CLEVEDON Athletic Club enjoyed good results at the London marathon.
Special congratulations go to Richard Ponsford in getting his PB and to Dawn Barcham for a great first marathon performance and well under four hours. Mike Horwood was home in just under hour hours and came fifth in the Vet 70 age group.

The veterans’ team finished strongly at the recent Weston Prom Run and now stand at the top of the leaderboard with just one race to come.

The Clevedon AC men’s team finished a creditable third behind two strong teams of Wells City Harriers and Bristol & West in the Easter Bunny 10K.

Congratulations to Haydn Bailey for completing the Votwo ONER Ultra Marathon (78.6 miles) in a time of 22.49.52, finishing an impressive 21st out of only 27 finishers and all with a broken foot.
Dave Bray competed in the Petrofac Challenge Half, which is a multi-terrain half marathon. This was in Scotland with a magnificent panorama of the Cairngorms. Dave finished 19th in a time of 1.34.33 (4th MV40).
Taking part in the North Dorset Village Marathon, Helen Ball was 124th in a time of 3.50.12.
