Clevedon's Ashley Mansell held on to win the Total Triumph Classic at Oake Manor at the weekend.
Holding a five-shot lead over his closest rival at the halfway stage, Mansell sank a six-foot birdie putt on the last to claim the £1,600 first prize.
And he thanked home member Jason Brock, with whom he had won the previous day's betterball who stayed to be his caddy.
Manseall said: "He helpd me with the putt. He told me the line which was not the one I would've chosen otherwise."
After some indifferent weeks on the greens, Mansell carded a nine-under par 61 in the first round but after two birdies on the first three holes of round two, he suffered a triple bogey seven on the seventh after driving out of bounds.
Cardiff's Cennydd Mills sensed his chance and had drawn level by the 15th hole, before Mansell edged ahead with a birdie four at the 17th.
Mills went through the green on the last and failed to make the birdie that would've forced a play-off, signing for a 68 as Mansell carded 72 and won his first Marston's Order of Merit title.
He had been among the runners-up for the past two seasons, losing to Sion Bebb in a play-off two years ago and finishing behind John Bickerton last year.
