Linda Reynolds and Heather Priestley were the runaway winners of the pairs betterball competition at Clevedon Golf Club.

There was just one competition last week at Clevedon Golf Club when the ladies’ section played a pairs betterball competition.

The runaway winners were the team of Linda Reynolds and Heather Priestley. Their combined score of 41 points was a four ahead of the runners-up. Elaine Morgan and Lesley Wicking tied with Alison Lee and Tracy Buckland with a score of 37. A better score on the back nine gave the second place to Elaine and Lesley.

The Gloucester and Somerset PGA winter medal returned to Clevedon and was won by Russell Berry from Broadway. He carded a bogey free five under par 67 to win by two strokes.

Sharing second place were Guisseppe Licata from Chipping Sodbury and former Clevedon player George Ryall. Clevedon’s assistant professional Ashley Mansell finished fourth with a score of 70.
