CLEVEDON Golf Club is the latest Somerset club to be awarded the
prestigious GolfMark Award.

GolfMark, a national scheme and the initiative of the English Golf Union and Womens Golf Association which incorporates Sport England, identifies and recognises junior and beginner-friendly golf facilities.

With a busy and successful Junior section already in place at the club much of the administrative side had already been addressed. It only required the junior organiser, Tony Brown to bring things together with the help of Somerset County development officers, John Paterson and Paul Barrington.

Coaches and volunteers are trained to support the needs of juniors and adult beginners enabling them to develop their playing skills.

Clevedon Golf Club are fully committed to encouraging all juniors and adult beginners. To this end, the club are offering free golf taster sessions on April 15 for boys and girls aged seven to 18 and on April 16, there are two sessions on offer, one for adult men and the other for ladies and girls.

For further information and to book your place, contact Richard Dix at Clevedon Golf Club on 01275 874057.
