MENDIP Spring Golf Club PGA advanced professional Robert Moss is increasingly in demand as a golf tournament referee.

In 2010, Rob was asked to referee at the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor and has since been chosen to officiate in golf events all over Europe and North Africa. This year he has refereed at major golf events in England, Scotland, Ireland, Turkey, Spain, Cyprus and Bulgaria, with trips to Portugal and Morocco coming up soon.

Rob has officiated with the National PGA, the PGA Europro Tour, at PGAs of Europe tournaments and at the PGA Seniors’ Championship.

He was also tournament director for the Blacksearama Pro Am, played over three golf courses in Bulgaria and refereed for the PGA Professionals Championship of Europe, also played in Bulgaria.

On the PGA Europro Tour, Rob has covered events from Q School to main competitions around the UK and Ireland. Shortly he will be working with the ladies’ European Tour at their qualifying school in Morocco, and will referee at the Beko Pro Am in Turkey and the International Teams Championship in Portugal.

When not on his travels, Rob teaches at Mendip Spring Golf Club in North Somerset and is active in coaching junior boys and girls in conjunction with the Somerset Golf Partnership.
