A full programme of events has been held at Clevedon Golf Club.

CLEVEDON Golf Club members took advantage of the cold, but clear conditions to hold a full programme of competitions.

Starting with a club bowmaker, the team of Julian Beale, Dave Sansum, Brian Strickland and Graham Trenaman came out on top by the narrowest of margins.

Their score of 98 points was matched by Dennis Milsom, Paul Smith, Richard Dix and Alan Phillips. However, the result was decided by them scoring more points over the back nine holes.

The ladies also held a bowmaker event and the team of Caroline Fairhurst, Linda Reynolds and Sarah Martin carried over their good form from 2014 to run out convincing winners with a score of 69 points. In second place were Maggie Philpot, Vicki Sach and Liz Jarvis with a score of 64.

In the seniors bowmaker waltz, Glynn Hickman, Kevin Makintosh and Reg Wiles took the honours. Their total of 85 points was just one ahead of Les Holmes, Mike Parker and Gerry Wilmott

Clevedon Golf Club ladies section will be hosting a golf and coffee morning on March 11. Ladies will be able to enjoy a round of golf, a cup of coffee and the opportunity to pick up a bargain at one of the many stalls on display in the clubhouse.

Tee times can be booked for just £12 per player through the club office. Please call Tony Eastham on 01275 874057 for details.
