Golf: Clevedon claim Trounson Trophy title

Clevedon continued their run of success at county level as the men regained the Trounson Trophy.
Teams of four represented their clubs in the Somerset competition, with the best three scores to count.
And Clevedon's team, led by Steve Jones, saw rounds of 73 from Ash Darnley and Joh Vickerstaff, backed up by a score of 77 from Bob Anderson to finish with a total of +9.
Mendip were also putting an excellent score together and finished level with Clevedon, who came out on top thanks to a better score from their fourth player.
Ian Bullock claimed 44 points to win the weekend stableford, while other club competitions were suspended due to essential course maintenance.
