Clevedon Golf Club seniors defeat Worlebury 5-0 in the Somerset Bowl.

THE seniors’ team from Clevedon Golf Club took on Worlebury in the second round of the Somerset Bowl at a 
blustery Burnham and Berrow course recently and romped home five matches to nil.

On a day where torrential rain was forecast, it stayed dry until after the conclusion of the match. Tony Brown & Kevin Conners, and David Steele & Derek Sutton both won 5&4, David Fife & Clive Randall won 4&3, and Mike Parker & Ian Saynor and Peter Horlock & Chris Bellamy won 3&1.

Clevedon who won the cup in 2009 and finished runners-up last year, now go on to face Burnham and Berrow at Wells Golf Club in the quarter-finals.
