Sailing: Gibsons on top at Clevedon SC President's Trophy

Martin and Ella Gibson came out on top at Clevedon Sailing Club's President's Trophy.
The event was held in changeable winds, with Bruno Tinel (Laser Pico) holding his own for almost the whole of the first lap.
Stuart Turner (Laser) and cadets Amy Turner and Rachel Elliot (Feva) gave chase, before the Gibsons stormed the first lap in their Tasar.
Paul Hield (Contender) and Hotchkiss and Black (505) were last to start with some boats already on lap two.
And as the wind picked up Turner was in the lead, followed by the Gibsons, Chris Cooper (Laser) and cadets Knight and Watts (Vision).
The Gibsons powerd ahead around the hour mark, but on the final lap the beat towards the finish line was proving a challenge for all as the wind was blanketed by the land.
The Feva and Pico finished two laps with the beat still proving to be the deciding leg and after 67 minutes the Gibsons took the lead.
Turner regained the lead a few minutes later, but it was shortlived as the Gibson pulled away for honours.
The RNLI Race followed as the wind died and the ebbing tide strengthened, but only one lap of the handicap race could be managed and Turner took first place in the Laser.
