Children from St John the Evangelist Church School in Clevedon, finished second at the North Somerset swimming gala.

Children from Years five and six at St John the Evangelist Church School in Clevedon took part in the North Somerset Swimming Gala at Hutton Moor Sports Centre.

All of the children involved did extremely well, with members of the squad coming first in the boy’s 50m freestyle race, boy’s 25m front crawl, boy’s 25m butterfly and the mixed 4x25m relay.

Overall, St John’s was placed second out of 16 schools and now go forward to the next round of heats with a view to gaining a place at the national finals in Sheffield, where they did so well last year.
