Fuzz Box come out on top in the battle of the bottom two in the Flotsam Summer Billiards League.

THE battle of the bottom two sides in the Flotsam Summer Billiards League ended in a 3-1 home win for Fuzz Box.

The opening game between George Rowe and Mike Tozer was a good match with the lead changing hands early on a couple of times before Mike got into his stride and ran out winner by 34.

Bob Selby played Ray Tozer in the next and once he knocked in a break of 21 he was never headed as a 33 point win closed the 
aggregate scores to a single point.

With both players only have two players, the final game was a good-natured doubles encounter which the home pairing won by 12 to take the bonus and a 3-1 win.

Highlight of the No Hopers/Zimmers match was a highest ever break of 38 by Mark Wright in his game against Geoff Passmore, although Geoff’s greater experience told in a five point win.

Zimmers defeat meant that Congresbury drew level with them at the top of the league thanks to a 3-1 win over Well Backs with Roy Jenkins hitting the week’s highest break of 53.
