Frames extend their lead at the top of the Wrington league

Frames A extended their lead at the top of the Wrington Vale Snooker League.

FRAMES A extended their lead at the top of the Wrington Vale Snooker League table with a 5-1 win against their nearest rivals, Rovers.

Ryan Carlier was in good form again, winning both his frames and recording the highest break of the week, a good 37.

Alan Pearce was in good form for Backwell A, winning both his frames in their 4-2 win against Congresbury, knocking in breaks of 32 and 20.

Glynn Hale played excellently for Backwell B, winning both his frames for the first time this season, although ultimately this was not enough as his side went down 4-2 to Peelers.

Results: Clevedon A 4, Frames Pandas 2; Peelers 4, Backwell B 2; Frames A 5, Rovers 1; Backwell A 4, Congresbury 2.

Breaks: Ryan Carlier 37, 28; Alan Pearce 32, 30; Dave Crees 30; Dean Bridges 28; Luke Ward 25.
