Four new goals have been funded by Bristol Airport, while new kit for the under-nines has been provided by local accountancy firm Phoenix.

Manager Chris Broome said: “We’re extremely lucky to have the backing of these businesses to allow so many young children in the local area to enjoy their sport with the best facilities available.

“As a club we would not have the money to provide new kit and goal posts without the help and generosity of others.

“There are a huge amount of children within the club that will benefit from the new equipment provided by the airport.

“The kids are delighted with the new kit having well outgrown their previous kit which was also kindly sponsored by Phoenix.”

Phoenix are a well established firm of accountants based in the village, advising individuals and businesses on their accounting, administrative and tax issues.

Director Nick Williams said: “Having played for Yatton Junior FC from a young age I have a great affinity to the club. We are great supporters of the work the coaches and other volunteers do.”

Bristol Airport subsidised the goal posts as part of their Diamond Fund, which saw them support 60 local projects to celebrate 60 years in their current location.
