Wrington-Redhill 5

Nailsea Utd Res 0

WRINGTON-Redhill hosted Nailsea United Reserves in Division 2 of the Somerset County League.

The first-half was evenly contested by both sides with a high level of skill on display. Wrington made the breakthrough on 20 minutes when incisive passing saw Dan Tempan coolly slot home.

The second half saw Wrington-Redhill apply more pressure with Nailsea goalkeeper Luke Davies performing heroics to keep the home side at bay. In the 68th minute, evergreen Graham Cheeseman finished well to make it two and minutes later added to his tally.

The fourth goal came after 78 minutes after Cheeseman was hauled down in the area and Neil Andow converted the penalty. Callum Fisher’s forward foray in support of play saw his reward when he smashed in a volley from 25 yards for the final goal.

The game finished at 5-0 and was well refereed by Martin Baldock. This match was sponsored by Kismet Restaurant of Congresbury, and the man of the match chosen by Mr Naz Hoque was Neil Andow.
