Swiss Valley Rangers under-13 girls got the better of their Portishead Town rivals in a derby date.

SVR dominated early on, but Portishead's defence and keeper held firm.

Fern, Maggie and Ella B denied Portishead at the other end, before a strong run and cross by Ella W led to a goal from Nancy.

It was 2-0 moments later as Nancy curled in a corner and, as Jasmine, Libby, Ava and Nancy pressed in midfield, Ella W added a third before half time.

The second half began with SVR sensing their first win of the season, with Mia making her mark in midfield as Poppy and Nyan joined the defence.

Nancy crossed for Ella W to volley in a fourth, then cut in from the left to curl into the top corner.

Katie and Maggie kept SVR's clean sheet, with Jasmine producing a run on the right and setting up players' player of the match Nancy for her fifth goal to seal a 7-0 win.
