Shannon earns her first international cap

Portishead Town Ladies player Shannon Holloway earned her first international cap when she played for North Ireland Under-19s.

Shannon Holloway, who plays for Portishead Town Ladies in the Somerset County Women’s League, was recently selected to play for Northern Ireland Under-19 Ladies in Macedonia, earning herself her first international cap.

She played in all three matches against Montenegro, Macedonia and Sweden, starting in the final two games of the tournament for the UEFA Under-19s championships.

Their toughest game was against Sweden who were the tournament favourites, but Northern Ireland were successful to go on to qualify for the elite round in 2016.
