Nailsea Churches defeated Castle Green in a seven-goal thriller.

Castle Green 3

Nailsea Churches 4

NAILSEA started the better team, played some good football and effectively dominated this match until the last 20 minutes when the home side came alive.

Ricky Jefferies and two goals from John Moulding gave Nailsea a commanding 3-0 lead. However, Castle Green refused to give up and with 20 minutes left they pulled two goals back to put Nailsea under some pressure.

Nailsea fought back and Harry Jennings pouncing on a defensive error by the home side put Nailsea 4-2 up. Castle Green snuck a third to set up a grandstand finish, but Nailsea held on to take home three vital points.

Colombo Peoples was voted Nailsea’s man of the match and John Moulding was voted opposition’s MVP.
