Portishead Town Reserves made it two wins in seven days with a comfortable 3-0 success over Frome Town Sports.

The two sides had battled to a 4-4 draw a month earlier, after Posset let a 3-0 lead slip.

But the home side were more solid in the return, never looking troubled.

Simon Gilmartin missed a good chance to open the scoring before Nick Walker’s free-kick was converted by Mark Read with five minutes left in the half.

Posset came out flying in the second half, camping in Frome’s half, as James Steele and Walker dominated on the flanks.

And it was 2-0 on 65 minutes when Caolan Pearce beat his man to start an attack that eventually saw Walker slot home.

The third goal came in similar fashion as Steele got clear of the defence and rolled the ball past the keeper.

George Gillingham only made one save behind a defence superbly marshalled by Adam Wellen, as Jordan Cleary took the SG Services man of the match award for Portishead.
