Action from Portishead Town Reserves' win over Radstock Town Reserves

Portishead Town Reserves came out on top against their Radstock Town rivals in their Somerset League Division Two clash on Saturday.

The hosts had most of the possession in the first half, as Radstock looked to break at speed.

And Mike Ley pulled off some excellent saves before Portishead opened the scoring just before the break through debutant Kalan Bartlett at close range.

The visitors attacked after the restart and won a penalty on the hour, which was converted to level things up.

But Portishead defended well in the face of more pressure and then won a penalty of their own on 75 minutes, which James Clarke converted to seal the points.

Ley produced a string of good saves in the closing stages to help Portishead protect their slender lead in an improved team display.

And they will be looking for more success when they make the trip to bottom club Long Ashton this weekend.
