Portishead A registered their sixth win on the trot against neighbours Nailsea United A.

PORTISHEAD A travelled to local rivals Nailsea in a buoyant mood, having strung together five straight wins.

The fun continued when Simon Kelly opened the scoring, before the lead was doubled before the half -hour mark by Lewis Batterham with a fine header into the bottom corner of the home team’s net.

Nailsea hit back with a goal, but the two-goal cushion was restored before half-time with a venomous strike from Trevarthen.

The second half was a much tighter affair as Portishead looked to see out the win with no slip ups. Nailsea did come knocking but man of the match Matt Chapman and partner in crime Will Cook, were solid at the back and denied all access to the Portishead box.

The Posset boys rallied as a team and took the three points back over Naish Hill with a 3-1 victory.
