Archant

Portishead Town under-15 girls were convincing 7-0 winners at Keynsham Town on Sunday.

After an early start to travel across Bristol for the 10am kick-off, they survived two early corners on a windy day.

And Katie Quick pounced on a loose ball to open the scoring, before Keiana Jones picked out Quick to tee up girl of the match Katherine Southern for the second.

Quick completed her hat-trick with two shots from the edge of the box, after Katie Britton and Southern had combined well in the build-up.

And Portishead continued to attack after the restart, with Britton finding Quick to net again from a tight angle.

Britton then found Southern, who beat a defender to break free and score the sixth Portishead goal.

And Portishead completed their tally as Meg Jefferies and Katie Henderson linked up to find Jones, who burst forward and held off a defender to score as Phoebe Delafaille, Jefferies, Tilly Smale and Kim Parker stood firm at the back.
