PORTISHEAD Girls Under-12s fought hard in windswept conditions to gain victory over AEK Boco Green in the Bristol Girls League.

Player of the match Emily Smith put Portishead in front after 15 minutes after latching on to a great throw from Kyla Probert and added a second a few minutes later with a great header.

Portishead continued to press with Sophie Dumine, Lucy Bunton and Rosie Collings pushing forward trying to take advantage of the windy conditions in the first half. Defenders Phoebe Williams, Eloise Hubbard and Alys Withers all put in strong performances to keep a clean sheet.

Keeper Aimee Morgan had a confident game with some great kicks particularly against the wind feeding Izzy Batchelor. Chelsea Hill secured the victory with a great individual goal finishing off her run from the halfway line making the final score 4-0 to Portishead.
