Clutton 1

Nailsea & Tickenham 7

Nailsea & Tickenham travelled to Clutton and hit their hosts for seven.

The game started well and they could have been three up in the first five minutes, Chris Gale shooting wide on two occasions and Josh Benjamin going close.

The floodgates opened on 18 minutes, Mat Pilgrim went through slotting past Steve Rogers. Luke Osgood grabbed his first on 23 minutes following a superb tackle by Tom Smith.

The second came minutes later a 25-yard screamer. The Swags were awarded a penalty following a handball. Steve Rogers pulling off an amazing save from Gary Freeman’s spot kick.

It was a temporary situation, as Chris Gale’s corner deceived Rogers for number five.

Osgood’s hat-trick arrived five minutes into the second half, a strike from 20 yards. Clutton did pull one back on the hour, tapping in from close range. Osgood was at it again 11 minutes later heading in from a cross from debutant Jack Towill.

A second penalty was awarded when Tyler Manning was brought down, dusting himself down to convert.

India Cottage man of the match was Luke Osgood.
