Nailsea & Tickenham progressed to the next round of the Somerset Cup with a 2-0 win over last year’s finalists Clevedon United.

Luke Osgood, Berry and Pilgrim were a constant threat as early corners and long throws put Clevedon under pressure.

Dunn saved well from Osgood, but Berry beat him with a superb chip after the front three combined well.

Gale, Freeman and Wallington dealt with any Clevedon attacks to ensure keeper Gillingham was well protected and there were great tackles by Last and O'Reilly.

The Swags doubled their lead when Osgood converted Josh Benjamin's inswinging corner, with Ryan Gissings firing wide for the visitors.

Seeley and Benjamin made advances on the wings, with Dunn denying the latter with a good save late on.

And Gillingham kept out Callum Dunn to protect his clean sheet in the closing stages of a well contested derby in front of a big crowd.
