Nailsea & Tickenham had to settle for a point as their clash with Clevedon United ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

The Swags went close after six minutes as Chris Gale's free-kick was saved by James Dunn, before Clevedon's Jack Thorne had an effort ruled out for offside.

N&T took the lead on 23 minutes as a Josh Benjamin cross was headed in by Luke Osgood and Mat Pilgrim and Jack Last went close to adding to the haul before half-time.

Osgood dragged a chance wide after the restart, but Clevedon levelled on 62 minutes when Thorne's cross-shot evaded everyone and found the corner of the net.

Mike Purnell fired over as the visitors controlled possession, but Osgood also fired over and was denied by Dunn.

Marc Ashley Mortgage Advice man of the match Gale nearly won it late on after gaining possession on halfway, but his long-range thunderbolt was kept out by a wonderful Dunn save.
