NAILSEA came close to taking home a point in yet another hard-fought game.

The home side took an early lead from a corner, only for Nailsea to level through John Moulding halfway through the first-half, but Sanctuary took the lead again to lead 2-1 at the break.

Mark Kelly grabbed an equaliser for Nailsea just after the break to level the game once more. Sanctuary threw everything they had at Nailsea who, with their keeper Chris Shaddick in top form defended superbly.

Nailsea were unable to hold out as Sanctuary sneaked a winner three minutes from time. Chris Shaddick was voted both Nailsea’s man of the match and the opposition’s MVP.
