Despite conceding a goal in the first minute, Kenn Valley hit back to win an exciting match 3-2.

Sporting Weston 2

Kenn Valley got off to a terrible start conceding a goal inside the first minute.

Beesley lost out in a tackle in midfield which allowed an attack to develop and the early shot deflected past a stranded Richards in goal. Valley equalised a few minutes later direct from a 35-yard free kick from Stanley.

Valley again fell behind while defending a free kick themselves where a cross found a glancing header to put Sporting ahead again. The game was taken to Sporting after this with Valley missing several chances.

The closest they came was Loiue Hallett hit the bar with a brilliant first-time strike, leaving Valley trailing 2-1 at the interval.

A tactical player switch by manager Alan Puddy proved to be the game changer as it turned out with Dan Andrews switching up front and Shipway to central defence. Immediately, Andrews forced a mistake in defence and ran through to equalise himself. The game developed into a cracking contest with both teams pressing to find a winner.

Loius Vowles led the defence brilliantly and Liam Richards fearless in goal, while producing two brilliant saves.

With time running out, it was Valley who had the last say by breaking forward with Andy Vowles finding Andrews who chipped the keeper for the winner to snatch the all three points for KVFC.

Man of the match keeper Liam Richards.
