Girls take part in their first tournament

PUBLISHED: 14:56 11 February 2015

Three Clevedon United girls age groups took part in their first tournament.

CLEVEDON United Under-9s, 10s and 11 girls took part in a development tournament in Taunton, playing five matches against other Somerset teams.

The girls put in a tremendous effort as this was the first time they had played as a team, and for some, the first-ever matches they had played.

They showed spirit and skill against other established teams and gained great experience as they rotated positions. They were full of enthusiasm and enjoyed a great team spirit.

Any girls in year 4, 5 or 6 who are interested in playing football are very welcome, training is at the Hand Stadium in Clevedon on Thursdays at 7-8pm. Please contact Paul on 07580 255515 for more information.
