PORTISHEAD Girls Under-13s got back to winning ways in style with a
controlled passing game.

Emma Penhale worked hard in her new position on the wing and
deservedly scored the opening goal with a finely struck shot across the goal into the corner.

The new look defence of Francis O’Dea and Andante Singer kept Boco opportunities to a minimum although they worked them hard. Anything that did get through, player of the match Jemilla Colyer made some fine
saves.

Portishead continued to
press forward with Ellie Davidson, Rhea Hall, Becky Halford and
Anya Colye all playing fine
passing football. Portishead were rewarded again when Anya finished
off a wonderful move and smashed
the ball home for our second
goal.

Midfield maestro Becky controlled everything and after some great work from the rest of the team, was able to score the third goal.

Portishead made several changes at half-time, Caitlin Meredith and Ellie Hill who both played well picking up the pace. Boco scored a well-deserved consolation goal after a goalmouth scramble.

Portishead now have to play Boco again in the championship play-offs next weekend.
