FOR the second successive weekend, Portishead Girls Under-11s displaced the top of the league team in emphatic style.

Goalkeeper Eloise Twyford was in fine form and the defence of Andante Singer and Francis O’Dea did a brilliant job. Midfielders Anya Colyer (player of the match), Rebecca Halford, Rhea Hall, Caitlin Meredith, Ellie Hill and Ellie Davidson were all on top of their game.

The first goal came after some great team work and calmly finished by Halford. Meredith was unlucky not to convert any of her chances.

After the break, Portishead extended their lead after some magic work by Rhea Hall who slid the ball out wide to Colyer, who superbly hit the ball into the corner.
