PORTISHEAD Elite lost their 100 per cent league record to Lebeq Tavern Courage Reserves on Sunday in an 11-goal thriller.

Lebeq took the lead early on after Ryan Purchase gave away a penalty. Olly Trevarthen equalised for Portishead before Danny Fowler scored twice to put Portishead 3-1 up at half time.

Injuries to Danny Clarke and Danny Fowler hampered Portishead who didn’t have the required quality on the bench to replace them. Lebeq took full advantage scoring six second half goals.

Trevarthen pulled one back to make it 7-4, but it was too little, too late for Portishead.
