Debutant Danny Robbins netted the only goal in the game for Nailsea and Tickenham.

Nailsea and Tickenham welcomed a touring team from Leicester containing one of its own, Joe Berry, to Fryth Way.

The hosts took the lead on 14 minutes, when youngster and debutant Danny Robbins, smashed the ball home from 12 yards. Kirby almost equalised five minutes later following a mazy run by Berry, his hard low cross was deflected over the bar by Dan Patterson.

On 20 minutes, N&T were unlucky not to increase the lead when an Arron Latta free kick hit the post and went to safety.

The second half saw N&T keeping the ball, but were lucky to escape following a defensive error, Lockyer guesting in goal did well to turn the ball around the post.

Within minutes, Connor was put through on goal but his lob went agonisingly past the post. Kirby’s best chance came on 80 minutes when the keeper was rounded and Chris Gale cleared off the line. The hosts held firm to remain unbeaten pre-season.
