DESPITE missing three penalties, the young Nailsea side ran out comfortable winners in a competitive local derby.

Cleeve were quick out of the blocks and dominated for the first 20 minutes, deservedly taking the lead. This sparked the home side into life and an equaliser was quick to come, with Rob Attwood heading home after some sustained pressure.

Nailsea took the lead when a long throw cannoned off a defender and into the net. Cleeve got back on level terms when the home keeper slipped when collecting a shot allowing the ball to spill into the path of the away striker, who netted.

The young Nailsea side then took control of the game creating numerous chances, with Attwood adding a second and Josh Ramella scoring two.

Ben Barrett and Sam Membery were constants threats down the flanks, creating chances and defending well ably assisted by the full-backs of Liam Hodges and Jack Smith.
