Clevedon Town’s Lewis Ford was the hat-trick hero for South West England over-70s in their latest match.

The 74-year-old Ford netted twice in the first half against Birmingham last Wednesday, with player-manager Danny Ward and captain Charlie Wise also on target to help them build a 4-1 lead.

And Ford struck again from close range after the restart, which proved the only goal of the second half as Birmingham defended well.

South West England walked off with a 5-1 win and are set for a return meeting with Wales in Weston on May 28.
