Clevedon Lions under-nines snatched a late 2-1 win over Yatton A.

They were on the back foot early on, as Sam Puddy and Ben Murray held firm in the absence of Ollie Gomms.

And Lions countered to take the lead when a great through ball from Josh Hollier found Jacob Lawton to cut inside and fire into the bottom corner.

Lawton fired against the crossbar soon after, as Zac Roberts and Ray Payne worked well on the wings.

Hollier shone in central midfield, but Yatton broke out to level before the break as Harvey Bird was beaten at the near post.

New signing Jack Tagg came on for the second half and Lions had more chances and possession.

Creative Services man of th match Puddy and Murray protected Bird well when Yatton attacked and Lions won it when Lawton fired home his second.

Clevedon Tigers made it a double with a 3-2 victory over Yatton B.

Tom Casey opened the scoring from Casey Clifford's throw-in, but Yatton levelled after seizing possession from Jake Elliot's goal kick.

Lucas Ford and Archie Filer combined to set up Casey for another shot, which was saved and Taylor Riggs pounced to make it 2-1.

Yatton squared matters for a second time when a shot was deflected past a stranded Elliot, but Tigers went 3-2 up before the break when Jack Griffiths broke up play and found Riggs, who played Casey in to score.

Bobby Sansum Snook was introduced at half time and gave a superb second-half display as Ford and Griffiths defended well.

Elliot made a fantastic save to deny a certain equaliser as Sansum Snook took the man of the match award.
