Clevedon Juniors Under-13s defeated Priory Rangers 3-0 to reach the league cup final.

Clevedon Juniors Under-13s booked their place in the league cup final after beating a feisty Priory Rangers team 3-0.

Clevedon started well, creating several good chances before Ethan Crossley played Jack Burge in and he produced a fine finish into the corner of the net.

The score remained 1-0 into the second half and Priory slowly came back into the game, but Brad Probert and Theo Gaskin regained control of the midfield.

Clevedon pushed on and doubled their lead when Harvey Conroy unleashed a shot into the top corner. Clevedon were now dominating and made it 3-0 when Crossley’s shot rebounded off the post and fell to Burge who made no mistake.

A mention should go to Josh Pike and Danny Pass, who produced strong performances in defence. Man of the match was Jack Burge.

Portishead Juniors travelled to face Bristol Spartak for what they knew would be a tough and physical encounter against a strong team.

The first-half was tight with few clear cut chances either way, but the game played at a high pace and with high intensity.

The second half saw more opportunities to score at both ends. Portishead had a great opportunity to go 1-0 up but failed to take it and shortly afterwards failed to clear the ball from a scrap in their area and Spartak scored.

Bristol Spartak sealed the win a few minutes later with a quickly-taken corner which caught the Portishead defence napping and a header from an unmarked player.

Portishead battled on and did create more chances but were unable to score and the game finished 2-0 to Spartak.

The two teams will meet for the third time this season – now with one win each – in the cup final on May 10.
