THIS top of the table clash saw the points shared, but it was Clevedon who left feeling they should have taken all three points.

United started quickly when early pressure on Worle’s defence resulted in a free kick when Max James was brought down. Ben Pavey’s kick was won by Chris Greenslade and his nod down found James, who fired home past the keeper with only four minutes on the clock.

Clevedon then had two golden chances, but were denied twice by the woodwork with chances falling to Greenslade and Mike Banks.

Worle drew level with their only on target effort of the first half when the ball broke loose and a shot beat Rob Banks.

The second half saw much of the same with Clevedon more threatening on the attack. Both keepers were outstanding in goal, with United’s man of the match Rob Banks claiming everything in the air.

Clevedon’s three substitutes added more pace and energy to their attack and Nick Lee fired a shot just wide of the post. Greenslade was then denied by a superb fingertip save by the Worle keeper in the last few minutes before Clevedon were then denied a penalty deep into injury-time.
