Clevedon United's under-14 girls came out on top in a thrilling encounter at Perry Street.

They made a strong start in Chard as Jade’s pass over the top of the home defence allowed Maisy to slot home.

But Perry Street used thir substitutes well to capitalise as Clevedon tired and drew level with a well-taken goal from their big striker before the interval.

After a well-earned rest Clevedon regained the lead in the second half as wing-bank Maria fired across goal for Leah to tap hom.

And it was 3-1 when Maisy took the ball down well and passed through the Perry Street defence for Leah to run on and fire past the keeper.

The home side managed to get another goal to set up a tense finale, but Clevedon held on for a well deserved 3-2 victory.
