Clevedon United’s under-10 girls enjoyed a good battle with Bristol Rovers Supporters’ girls in competitive contest between well-matched teams.

Rovers were unlucky not to score in the first half, hitting the post and seeing other chances narrowly miss the target.

Clevedon kept battling and were rewarded with a great strike by Maddie, who combined with goalkeeper Layla to thread a great pass through for Ella to slot home a second.

The visitors hit back, but Maddie added a third for Clevedon as many of their girls produced their best performances of the season.

Shae was solid at the back, stopping a lively Rovers attack with Samantha and Macey, while recent additions Phoebe gave a confident display.

And after Rovers grabbed a second goal, Ella made sure with another effort for Clevedon.

Training is on Tuesdays (6.30-7.30pm) at the Everyone Active Stadium, Davies Lane, Clevedon and new players are always welcome.
