NAILSEA Churches took on third-placed Shirehampton in an exciting game of football.

Nailsea took an early lead when James Robinson headed in a Mike Woodward corner. However, Shirehampton took control of the game and despite some resolute defending from Nailsea, they conceded an equaliser on the half-hour mark.

Shirehampton took control and converted their chances to score twice more and ensure they took home the points.

Overall, this a good battling performance from Nailsea, who never gave up, but just could not convert their chances.

Midfielder Colombo Peoples was voted Nailsea’s man of the match with goalkeeper Chris Shaddick being voted oppositions MVP.
