AFC Nailsea began their season with an exciting 3-2 win over their St George Easton-in-Gordano rivals at the weekend.

Kyran Matthews, Ross Sharp and Will Bellotti were all on target, while Chris Corlett took the man of the match award.

And the club were also celebrating after receiving new kit for the season.

Budgens Garage in Nailsea gave a sum of money to the club, after their customers voted with tokens to enable them to achieve a higher amount towards their kit.

A club spokesperson said: "Budgens manager David Knowles was present at the first game of the season to see the new kit and was pleased with the modern design. His gift of two boxes of chocolate bars was also appreciated by the lads!

"Support for our small club is limited and we were very grateful for their support."
